Thigh Lift Plastic Surgery
Serving Vancouver and the Portland, Oregon area
A thigh lift is a plastic surgery procedure used to enhance the appearance of your inner thighs. A thigh lift is commonly used to treat excess fat deposits, loose skin, and stretch marks. Usually, patients undergo a thigh lift after they have lost weight.
It is important that you have realistic goals. A thigh lift plastic surgery procedure is not a means to lose weight. The ideal thigh lift patient is someone in good health who wants to remove stubborn fat deposits and tighten loose skin.
The thigh lift plastic surgery procedure is typically performed under general anesthesia. Dr. Workman begins by marking on your skin where he will make incisions. Incisions will be made in various locations around the thighs. One large incision will be made along the inside of the middle thigh. It begins near the groin and extends toward the knee. This enables Dr. Workman to access the excess tissue and fat along the middle thigh.
Dr. Workman will remove the excess tissue and fat with a liposuction machine. Once the desired amount is removed, the areas with the incisions will be stitched up. Although there will be scarring, these can easily be covered by underwear or a bathing suit.
You will be able to go home and we will see you in the office the following day. This will enable us to observe your recovery and make sure that the affected areas are healing properly. Your thighs will feel tight for several days and you can expect some bruising and swelling.
